Marcia DeFalco
Marcia’s award-winning art draws on themes and scenes from nature that combine a keen eye for detail, whimsy, and an Asian arts perspective to create works that are refreshingly original.

She is a mixed-media artist. By selectively using a combination of media— a variety of historic printmaking techniques* with photography, watercolors, acrylics, colored pencil, pen and ink, collage, and assemblage—each of her pieces is truly a unique work of art.

Originally from the Midwest, Marcia recently retired to Amelia Island after living and working in the Washington, DC area for nearly 20 years. Even as a newcomer, she feels very much at home on Amelia Island and immediately connected to the island’s unique natural beauty.

She received her first art commission at age sixteen and began her formal art training as an undergraduate where she completed a degree in education with an art studio minor. A Master of Fine Arts Degree and a Master of Business Administration followed. She has exhibited and sold her work in solo and juried group shows, galleries, salon shows, and art fairs.
