Depy Adams

Depy Adams is a native of North Carolina and lived in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Tucson, AZ, and Albuquerque, NM before moving to Fernandina Beach in 2018. Depy has Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Education degrees from the art department of UNC-Greensboro and has also studied with many artists whose work she admires. She had a long career in art education.

 

Depy is a Signature Member of the New Mexico Watercolor Society and a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of New Mexico. She holds many awards in juried competitions and has had solo and group shows in North Carolina, Arizona, Utah, Mexico, New Mexico, and Florida and was honored to be invited to exhibit her work in the Albuquerque Museum. She is a juried exhibiting member of the Island Art Association and of the Plantation Artists Gallery and Guild.

 

Depy works in oil, watercolor, gouache, pastel, and egg tempera. Subjects vary from figurative, landscape, and still life and are done in a realistic style.
